Telephone Phrasal Verbs

What are Phrasal Verbs? A phrasal verb is a combination of words (a verb + a preposition or verb +adverb) that when used together, usually take on a different meaning to that of the original verb. Telephone Phrasal Verbs can make you sound like a native speaker. 1. Break Up:  To become inaudible over the telephone I can not hear you properly; Your voice is breaking up. I had to hang up because his voice was breaking up. 2. Cut Off:  To hang up the phone Don’t cut me off when I am talking. John cut me off when i was talking to him. We got cut off.
